What is the purpose of ‘Pages’ in a wordpress website?

The purpose of ‘Pages’ in a WordPress website is to present timeless and static information that is not part of the blog content. Unlike posts, pages are not time-dependent and do not appear in the chronological view of the blog. They are typically used for content that rarely changes over time, such as “About Us,” “Contact Us,” “Privacy Policy,” and “Legal Information.” Pages are designed for more permanent content and do not allow social engagement by default, such as comments and taxonomy. They are useful for creating a structured and organized navigation menu for the website. Pages are stored in the website’s database and are not included in the site’s feeds. They are also not interpreted the same way by search engines as posts, as search engines place more relevance on posts due to their dynamic nature and frequent updates
